Social Workers Registration
Act 2003

The main purpose of the Act is to protect the safety of members of the public by ensuring social workers are competent to practise. The full act can be read on the government legislation website (under Statutes).
 
The Board has prepared a number of Policy statements relating to registration - these can be read from the Policy page.
