This conference builds on 2004 Supervision Conference 'Weaving together the strands of supervision’ that examined supervision from a range of different professions’ perspectives. Professional supervision is an essential mechanism for professional development and maintenance of well - being of the practitioner, whilst improving services to consumers. This conference will explore themes and issues arising from a collaborative body of knowledge and skills, policy, management, education training and research.
To be held on Thursday 29 April 2010. Conference keynotes will all present day-long workshops on topics to be confirmed.
Proposals are sought for presentations of either 30 minute papers or 45 / 90 minute workshop presentations.
The proposal needs to be linked to one of the supervision conference sub themes, but general themes will also be considered.
Proposals are sought for presentations of either 30 minute papers or 45 / 90 minute workshop presentations.
These are to be practice-oriented presentations where skills can be demonstrated, discussed and practiced thereby offering participants an alternative format to learn to the traditional form of paper presentation.
These workshops may or may not be research based but should aim at the promotion of knowledge, skills and/or awareness in professional supervision and be accessible to a variety of professions in keeping with the conference theme.
If interested in presenting, please email conference organiser Barbara Burt
barbara.a.burt@gmail.com for copy of the abstract submission form or download it here. Email proposals before 1 September 2009.
Successful presenters will have the opportunity to have their research or theoretical papers peer reviewed to be published following the conference. Guidelines will be issued to presenters following acceptance.
