Already Registered

As a Registered Social Worker, you must:

• adhere to the Code of Conduct
• hold an Annual Practising Certificate
• hold a current Competence Certificate; and
• undertake continuing professional development.

Complaints

There is a complaints procedure that ensures that your peers deal with any complaints with fairness and sensitivity, within a robust and transparent system. (view more on complaints here)

Complaints Assessment Committees are appointed from time to time by the Chair of the Social Workers Complaints and Disciplinary Tribunal to investigate and determine a course of action for a complaint. Registered Social Workers are invited to register their interest in becoming part of a pool of people who could be appointed to Complaints Assessment Committees. To register your interest, email office@swrb.org.nz with CAC in the subject line or phone 04 931 2650.
